About Hornby Laithe Bunk Barn
Situated in the picturesque outskirts of Stainforth, North Yorkshire. Sleeping up to 50 people in a variety of various configeratetion bunk rooms. Providing an extensive kitchen with 2 catering ovens, 3 fridges, and a full sized freezer. Two toasters and microwaves and a kettle. Enough pots, pans and equipment to meet your every need. Large dining area adjacent to seat 50.
Provided is a huge lounge to relax in on an evening, housing one of the 3 televisions. If it’s a cosier lounge you prefer, then our loft room with sofas could be your chosen area. The barn across the drive provides a snooker table, table tennis and air hockey and has an additional lounge area with TV too. Fridge and freezer are housed in this area also. Leading off from this is a large separate function/recreation room which in the past has been used for parties and weddings.
Outside we have a very large field for your recreation, containing football nets. A perfect safe space for the kids to get rid of their steam. Around the side of the barn is a small play area with play equipment for the younger members of your party and we do also have a sand pit area. For al fresco dining there is outside seating, along with a gas bbq for your use. (additional cost). Or simply sit and relax with a drink and soak in the ambiance of the area.
A self-contained en-suite flat adjoins the barn, making up part of the accommodation, providing a cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle and tv. This sleeps 4.
Beds and pillows all have protective covering which is wiped down with disinfectant after each stay, and we ask you to bring your own sleeping bags, pillow case and towels please. If this is absolutely not possible, we can hire sheets, pillow cases and towels but these will incur an additional cost.
We also have a drying room for if the weather is a little enclement, we are in Yorkshire after all! You will also find a coin operated washing machine here too. (Please ask for the relevant coins). This room can also be locked if a bike store is required.
Our field can be used for camping (additional minimal cost), as part of your booking if your numbers exceed 50. We also have basic family camping facilities down by the river ribble that are available to book independently by calling 07854383738.
The field can be hired by outdoor groups, for example, guides, scouts, Duke of Edinburgh. We have even hosted a jamboree in the past! Additional showers and toilets are provided for camping use.

They cater for groups of up to 60, offering high ropes, climbing walls, caving to mention just a few of their activities. They can tailor a package for children or families to suit your needs. These include guided walks, ghyll scrambling, high ropes and indoor and outdoor climbling. Check out their website for further information. This particularly lends itself to school residential holidays. We can also provide in-house on site catering if required.
The accommodation is very versatile, even lending itself to being a bar for
those special occasions! The local brewery in Settle sell a variety of
beers which they will deliver and assemble ready for your arrival.
